The iconic #55 Mazda DPi raced in the IMSA series for several years, from 2017 to 2021. The RT24-P had a troublesome start, plagued by reliability issues and a lack of outright pace.
The design was developed over the years and slowly but surely the car began to see podiums and outright victories in the DPi category. The team saw most of its success in 2020 & 2021, securing 3rd in the championship standings, with wins at Road Atlanta, Daytona & Watkins Glen.
The continueous fighting spirit shown by Mazda Motorsports was truly inspiring, earning its place in the history books.
